When most people talk about Wipeout Hill, they refer to the obstacle, not the trail. The trail driven as a loop without the obstacle is actually quite tame and surprisingly scenic as it passes along the base of Lone Mesa heading toward Monitor and Merrimac Buttes. The Easter Jeep Safari version of this trail goes up Wipeout Hill and continues north on the last part of Sevenmile Rim, Trail #15. The Safari version is, by far, the most challenging.

Many ledges along the route have become more difficult and we will be rating this trail difficult in the next edition. I got through okay in my stock Wrangler Sport, but it was challenging.
