Overview

Amazing scenery as you climb some of Moab’s steepest slickrock.

Incredibly steep slickrock climbs combined with breathtaking scenery. Unless you’ve hiked Bootlegger Canyon, this will be your first chance to see Corona Arch. Photos do not capture the steepness of the obstacle called Where Eagles Dare. Going up you must fully commit to completing the obstacle on the first pass. Also, never get sideways on any of these hills. Okay for UTVs, but dangerous for ATVs.

Trail Ratings Defined

Difficult. Dangerously steep, but the slickrock is very smooth. No big ledges or technical climbs after you get through the initial entry point, which is narrow with sharp rock projections. A good spotter will make the narrow entry easier. The only way to understand the steepness of the “Where Eagles Dare” obstacle is to drive it.
