Standard Wash & Side Trails

Fun route through Standard Wash with access to a variety of side trails.

This route follows Standard Wash northeast, then accesses a variety of fun side trails. Our goal was to select fun routes that avoid the extreme washboard we found on West Mohave and Middle Mohave Washes. For wider coverage of the area, we recommend the Lake Havasu City Search & Rescue Map by SSgt Rudy Jehle, available at various stores in Lake Havasu.

Except for the washboard, main washes are wide, flat and easy. Side trails are narrow and steep in places, but we drove everything in our stock Wrangler Sport, including alternate route 4378. This area is wonderfully suited for UTVs, but use great caution as they blast through the main washes at very high speeds. (We believe this causes the extreme washboard.)
