Overview

Easy road accesses many great side trails for ATVs and UTVs.

Sleepy Cat Peak stands alone in the Flat Tops area and can be easily seen from a distance. The route described is a  comfortable and scenic drive amidst a large trail system. This area is very OHV friendly (including the town of Meeker) and is a great place to bring the family for extended stays. Make use of several large camping areas around Waypoint 02, great for staging campers and toy haulers. Trails are well marked, but be sure to bring the latest MVUM for referencing.

The trail requires more technical knowledge than an “easy” trail. Suspect winter runoff has damaged the trail making it more difficult. Views are limited based on trees. First & last 6 miles are “as advertised” but middle portion more difficult. Four-wheel drive & high clearance required (stock Rubicon ok). Water crossing deeper than expected. Had a 200 yard uphill rock climb that required 4 wheel low. Great training run!
