Overview

Trail ends at waters edge.

This is the quickest and simplest way to get to the first beach cove along the north shore of Saguaro Lake. Unlike the beach at Butcher Jones Recreation Site, this cove is free. You can picnic for a day or camp overnight. Just make sure you pack out all trash and leave the beach better than you find it. Staging is available at the start after you pass through the massive gate into Rolls OHV Area. Gate opens from sunup to sundown.

Trail Ratings Defined

With the exception of two steep hills getting over a ridge, most of this trail is just easy soft sand. To get down and up the hill at Wpt. 05, you must have 4WD and excellent articulation. Erosion of steep hills will continue, so difficulty may increase.
