Overview

Beehive Well and Tunnel Ranch are just two of the interesting stops you’ll make along this fun loop.

This fun loop mostly follows sandy washes but has one section along a high scenic ridge. You make interesting stops at Beehive Well, Tunnel Ranch, and two railroad tank cars once used for water storage. All three of these locations have lots of water, which draws bees and hornets, so use caution. Trail open all year, weather permitting. Non-street-legal vehicles allowed. Carry a State Trust Land permit.

Trail Ratings Defined

Stock high-clearance 4WD vehicles can do this trail, but you’ll want good tread on your tires. We recommend you air down, too. Steep and narrow in spots between Wpts. 04 and 05. Route-finding can be challenging in the wide washes, especially if you are the first to drive through when tracks are washed away after heavy rain. GPS is strongly recommended.
