Overview

Sand blown trail ends at unique geologic rock field.

The end of this trail features unique geologic rock formations. We’ve chosen the most direct route from the ranger station. This trail is often obscured by sand and is very hard to find at times. Look for rock cairns and a few sign posts. Lots of open terrain to explore along the way. Great area for ATVs and UTVs. Get detailed map of SVRA from ranger station at start of Trail #76. Visit the Discovery Center to learn more about the rock formations.

Most of the route follows wash bottoms, where conditions vary tremendously depending on recent rains. Be prepared for anything. We recommend using a GPS unit.
