Beautiful high views with historic mines and buildings directly along the route. Two major mine structures featured on this trail include the Treasure Mountain Gold Mining Company and the well-preserved Sound Democrat Mill. Interesting side roads to explore left at Waypoint 02. No seasonal closures except by weather.

Route 2 north of Silverton was so rough with rock outcroppings north of Eureka, we turned around. Plan B was Red Mountain Mining Area north loop. It was great.
