Overview

Popular loop separated by deep water crossing.

If you think you are ready for a difficult trail, this might be a good one to try first, since difficult parts are fairly short. The highlight of the trip is a deep water crossing at Coney Flats. There are times in the spring when the water may be too deep to safely cross. If you’re not sure what to do, you might want to watch someone else cross first. Very popular area for hiking because of nearby Indian Peaks Wilderness. Hidden waterfall along Middle St. Vrain. Open June 15 to Nov. 30.
