Overview

Follow a rocky, bumpy road to a stunning remote overlook of Kane Creek Canyon, trail #40, and Hurrah Pass, trail #41. You’ll begin this trail at the end of Picture Frame Arch, trail #50, which features two great arches and fun sand dunes. You’ll pass many side roads perfect for ATVs, UTVs, and dirt bikes. Many connect to the popular Behind the Rocks, trail #48. Camp in designated sites and spend several days exploring the area.

Trail Ratings Defined

Much of this trail is rough, but rated easy to moderate. One difficult spot along a shelf road before Wpt. 05 is narrow, rocky, and steep with no bypass. Road repairs could change the rating, but this is what we found. Route-finding is easy until you get to Wpt. 06, where you make a left turn onto a faint, easy-to-miss side road. Check mileage carefully from Wpt. 05 to Wpt. 06 or use GPS.
