Overview

Explore desert-like terrain on the north side of the Grand Canyon.

A long loop route with stops at panoramic Jumpup Point and rustic Jumpup Cabin. Unlike most of the forested areas around Jacob Lake, the terrain along this trail is more desert-like, with piñon pine, juniper, and sagebrush. The area is very remote; don’t go alone. Take plenty of water. A great trip with many fun side roads to explore for ATVs and side-by-sides.

Trail Ratings Defined

Easy when dry. Wet, muddy conditions increase difficulty. Narrow and twisty between Slide Tank and Wpt. 04. Fun to zip along in a UTV. F.S. 201 is steeper and rockier, but still easy.
