Overview

Great route features steep slickrock descent.

This route covers the southeastern side of the Cameo Cliffs Area (a.k.a. Hook & Ladder Area). It winds across valleys and ridges, offers fun challenges and beautiful views. A very popular ATV area, but most of the routes are okay for UTVs and Jeeps. This trail is now part of the Moab Easter Jeep Safari. ATVs and UTVs can extend trip by turning north at Waypoint 07 and following marked route #3. The route is extremely fun, but not described in detail. Follow the map.

Trail Ratings Defined

Steep and ledgy in several places. El Diablo is extremely steep going up and down, but otherwise has no obstacles. Narrow in places with tight, scratchy brush. Aggressive, stock, high-clearance 4x4 SUVs can do it with experienced driver, but expect pinstriping or even a scratch or two.
