Overview

Lightly-traveled side trail departs from Chicken Corners trail.

Trail heads north below and west of Hurrah Pass and loops through a canyon around Jackson Butte. We found no public motorized access to the nearby Colorado River. Stark landscape is remote and lightly traveled. We enjoyed the trip in our Polaris RZR. Mountain bikers typically travel north along the route and carry their bikes up a steep escarpment called Jackson Ladder.

Trail Ratings Defined

Most of the route is easy; however, there are enough small ledges and rough spots to give it a moderate rating. Suitable for stock, highclearance, 4x4 SUVs. More challenging for long wheel-based vehicles.
