Overview

Fun curves and climbs along sandy dry creek.

A fun drive with lots of banked curves and undulations in soft sand. Combine it with nearby easy trails #14 and #15, or add extra challenge by going up to Hidden Canyon Overlook, trail #17, and looking down on the maze you just drove. A great place to enjoy an ATV, UTV, or dirt bike, but it’s important that you stay on designated routes at all times. Past abuses of this area threaten its closure. No camping anywhere in the canyon. Pack out your trash. This trail accesses the challenging and popular Bartlett Wash Slickrock Bike Trail.

The main wash is very sandy and quite soft when it’s hot and dry. We recommend airing down your tires. We got through fine in our stock Jeep Wrangler with aired-down all terrain tires.

Based on the new BLM management plan, you must turn right at Waypoint 07. The narrow, steep-walled sandy wash is closed to motorized.
