The seasonal/private property gate is still locked. Singletrack riders that we met at the gate said, ‘the rest of the trail is difficult to pass due to downed trees and wash out’.

Jeanne Capachin says

The trail is easy until about the last mile, just past the iron fens and the big avalanche debris area. After that, it gets pretty steep and narrow in one short section. Trail is rocky and best to air down. Lots of dispersed campsites at the lower part of the trail. Great for groups. The last bit of the trail is no longer open, so you need to walk up to the mine ruins now.
