Overview

Traverse high plateau with dominating views of Collegiate Peaks.

Outstanding dispersed camping with incredible views of the Collegiate Peaks. Northwest corner of area has spaghetti-like network of roads that are fun to explore. Great area for ATVs, UTVs and dirt bikes. Seasonal gates close much of the area from December 1 to around April 30. Goddard Ranch is private property and is gated on each side during this same period.

Clear as a bell and dry as the desert. Easy, nice trail in a Wrangler. Rocky before WP 03 – would not try in a low clearance Vehicle.

We drove the north half of the Fourmile Area in the summer of 2018 and found very few changes. A few spots were a bit rockier. We have not driven the south side at all since 2007, but suspect it is pretty much the same. We encourage anyone who has driven this area recently to submit an update if they know of changes.

Drove this in July 2016 and had an absolute blast. There are some sandy, steep climbs, but no technical areas at all. This is a great drive, and picnic opportunity. There were ATV's on this trail at times, but not like Taylor Park area which is way crowded with ATV's and 2 wheelers. If in the area, this is a fun drive, and a really good spot for those new to off roading. Be aware that there is a lot of private property along the way. Many scenic views for picture taking.

Did this 5/9/2020 - Like the note before, there are some sandy steep climbs, but nothing technical where I needed a spotter. Great views and Camping

Beautiful. Dispersed campsites with stunning views of Collegiate Peaks. Trail book does not overstate it. Camped off 375 to the right at WP 08. Secluded. Tree cover. No one around. Perfect.
