Overview

Easy road climbs to remains of an unusual angle tram station.

Camp at popular Eureka townsite at start of trail. View foundation of giant Sunnyside Mill at bottom, then follow trail to Sunnyside Mine at top. Take side trip to see remains of Judge Terry’s Midway Mill. Photograph the unique angled tram station and many waterfalls. Large parking lot with toilet at base of trail.

Road is mildly rocky and rutted but fairly wide even at top of mountain. Side trip on lower portion of trail is somewhat overgrown with one rocky water crossing just before Midway Mill. Main road is suitable for any 4x4 SUV. High clearance recommended for lower side trip.
