Overview

See cabin ruins on this desert drive east of Quartzsite.

Desert/mountain drive just east of Quartzsite. See mines and cabin ruins on optional side trips. Trail ends at Dripping Springs with stone cabin ruin and petroglyphs. Great area for ATVs and UTVs with a complex network of side roads to explore. To add difficulty, consider alternate exit route that heads south from Waypoint 06.

Trail Ratings Defined

Starts easy, but gradually gets rougher. Wash conditions can be unpredictable and can change after it rains. Cross one high ridge and drop into narrow rocky wash before Dripping Springs. Narrow, short-wheel based, aggressive, high-clearance stock vehicles can make it to Dripping Springs. The biggest challenge is finding your way. Trail markings do not match available maps. Alternate exit has one tough narrow spot, but is not overwhelmingly difficult. Modified vehicles are recommended for this part.
