Overview

Narrow forest road that climbs to a great overlook and lunch spot.

The main attraction of this trail is an outstanding overlook above Fremont Pass. Take binoculars and a camera. It’s a great spot to relax and enjoy lunch. F.S. 134A is a rougher road and has an interesting log cabin open to the public. You follow a smooth road along a diversion dam after the cabin, but at Wpt. 06, the road goes back to a narrow, rough forest road.

8-6-2023 we did this trail up to the south lookout point. Most of the trail is easy but does require some ground clearance, with one obstacle that is probably why it has the moderate rating and there are some spots a little bit steep.
