Overview

Easy SUV road features rock art, camping and great scenery.

This is a great family trip with beautiful scenery and many interesting stops. Featured are a massive 130-ft. pictograph panel next to the road and one of the most distinctive dinosaur footprints we’ve ever seen. The trip ends with a dramatic view of “Little Grand Canyon.” Beautiful designated camp spots along the route with spacious camping for RVs near start. Numerous side roads to explore for Jeeps and unlicensed OHVs. We had trouble finding detailed maps of the area.

Was just here this weekend. Great road in easy shape. Came down from SLC through Castledale so I drove it in reverse on the way to the Reef. Two-wheel drive the entire route even in muddy spots. It’s a must-do.
