Overview

Offroad trek across solid granite and sand.

Bald Mountain Lookout is the main attraction on this trail, which features expansive views of Shaver Lake. The route consists mostly of solid granite and sand and reminds one of slickrock trails in Moab, Utah. Several obstacles will test your driving skill. The trail is well marked with cairns and reflectors, but it’s still easy to get lost.

A great trail that is open year round. I've done this trail many times and depending on the exact route and the weather conditions, this trail can range from moderate, to very difficult. Ice and snow can make this trail impassible, but most often you can find a some way to the top.
