Overview

Visit strange looking “hoodoo” rock formations

An easy drive with impressive views looking down into Hunter Canyon. The first 13 miles follow Cocoran Wash before reaching the overlook at Waypoint 03. After that, the trail follows a ridge where you can walk around interesting hoodoo rock formations. South part of the trail offers more views and more hoodoo rock formations. There are many trails in the area accessible to OHVs and camping. No
seasonal closures. To extend trip, add Monument Rocks, Trail #88, through Wild Horse Viewing Area.

Trail Ratings Defined

Easy. Wide, dusty and bumpy in places, but traffic moves swiftly. Drive defensively watching for oncoming vehicles making dust clouds. The area also has natural gas wells with many confusing access roads. GPS is very helpful.
