Two unique features on this route make it great fun. The last tenth of a mile to Van Deren Cabin offers some real four-wheeling, but the challenge is short and sweet. Then there’s Devil’s Bridge. This stunning arch requires an uphill hike of 0.8 miles, but it’s one of the best in Sedona. Most people will park at the start of the trail and hike the road. We don’t recommend Road 152 for non-street-legal vehicles, although we saw no signs keeping them out. Be courteous and drive slowly to keep down the dust while passing hikers. A Red Rock Pass is not required at Devil’s Bridge parking lot.

Not an easy trail. The entrance was bad. My stock tundra was too low for the rocks in the beginning.

Definitely pushing towards moderate now like the previous update from 2021 says. Sedona trails have seen a lot of erosion the last few years with several flash flood events and this one is no different. Definitely better to use low range and going is slow and rocky most of the way. The last piece on 9917 is definitely moderate now I’d say. Fortunately nothing has gotten too nasty in terms of ledges or off-camber areas though and no shelf road to contend with. Still a great run though!

Definitely not an easy trail anymore. The first tough area was the entrance- a few big rocks to limit what vehicles can enter. My stock 4runner pro banged the rocks. That was the beginning. I’m so glad for factory skids. The trail was more difficult than any moderate trail I have driven.
Fantastic run for a 3 or 4 hour diversion up in the Sedona area. Make sure to do the high...See More
