This trail gets its name from an optional obstacle that was once attempted by Jeeps but is now strictly for rock buggies; even they aren’t guaranteed to complete it. To get through the rest of the trail unscathed, you will need a good spotter and a very capable rig. Trail starts in a wash and then follows a ridgeline ending at the Ajax Mine. This trail is open to non-street-legal vehicles, but the ride would be extremely challenging. We started the trail by driving Box Canyon, trail #56, first.
